A celebration of diversity and inclusion in the most unlikely of places, 2024 will be the fourth Outback Mardi Gras.
What began as a ‘one night only’ birthday party for one of the locals has transformed into an annual festival of madness ‘n’ mayhem with more colour and movement than a 1980’s hairdo, spanning the entire weekend of the October Queens Birthday long weekend.

Pre march drinks and mingling before we make our way along Sapphire Rubyvale Road to where Multi-Award Winning Entertainer and Drag Extraordinaire Wanda Dparke hosts and entertains us with her hilarious wit, stunning vocals and gorgeous frocks as we wine and dine beneath the stars. Sunday is PRIDE DAY. Pride Day is an Open Day for the entire world to get involved with! Regardless of who you are or where you are from, the GEMFIELDS QUEER COMMUNITY invites you to be a part of a family friendly fun day with highlights such as a DOG SHOW, DRAG SHOW, old-school games, kids corner with crafts and face painting, food, bar, and entertainment throughout the day.
